Spaghetti Servings.png

Instructions:

  • 1. Cook the Meatballs:

    • Follow the package instructions for cooking the premade meatballs. Usually, this involves baking or sautéing in a pan with some olive oil until they are fully cooked and browned.

  • 2. Prepare the Spaghetti:

    • Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions in a pot of salted boiling water. Drain and set aside.

  • 3. Make the Homemade Spaghetti Sauce:

    • In a large saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onions and sauté until translucent.

    • Add minced garlic and sauté for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

    • Pour in the crushed tomatoes and diced tomatoes. Stir to combine.

    • Add dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and pepper. Stir well.

    • Bring the sauce to a simmer, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Adjust seasoning to taste.

  • 4. Combine Meatballs and Sauce:

    • Once the meatballs are cooked, add them to the simmering sauce. Allow them to heat through in the sauce for an additional 10 minutes.

  • 5. Serve:

    • Place a portion of cooked spaghetti on each plate.

    • Ladle the meatball and sauce mixture over the spaghetti.

    • Garnish with fresh basil and parmesan if desired.
