Seared Chicken Sandwich

Directions
  • Prepare the Marinade:

    • In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, fresh lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper.

    • Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are well-coated. c. Seal the bag or cover the dish and let the chicken marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

  • Grill the Chicken:

    • Preheat your pan to medium-high heat.

    • Remove the chicken from the marinade, letting any excess drip off.

    • Sear the chicken breasts for about 6-8 minutes per side or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and have a nice crust on the outside.

    • Optional: add a slice of cheese on the chicken until melted.

    • Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes.

  • Assemble the Sandwich:

    • Toast the hamburger buns in a toaster until lightly golden.

    • Spread a layer of mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun.

    • Place a grilled chicken breast on each bun.

    • Top the chicken with lettuce leaves and tomato slices.

    • Add the top half of the bun to complete the sandwich.

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
