Breakfast Burrito

Instructions:

  • Prepare the Eggs:

    • Crack the eggs into a bowl and whisk them until well combined.

    • Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a small amount of butter or oil.

    • Pour the whisked eggs into the skillet and gently scramble them with a spatula until fully cooked but still moist. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  • Cook the Bacon:

    • In a separate pan, cook the bacon until it's crispy. Once done, chop it into bite-sized pieces.

  • Warm the Tortillas:

    • Heat the flour tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave for about 15 seconds on each side until they are warm and pliable.

    • Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded cheese over the burrito to melt the cheese.

  • Assemble the Burrito:

    • Lay out a warm tortilla on a flat surface.

    • Spoon a generous portion of scrambled eggs onto the center of the tortilla.

  • Add Toppings:

    • Sprinkle the chopped bacon over the eggs.

    • Add a dollop of sour cream.

    • Spoon salsa over the top, adjusting the amount based on your preferred level of spiciness.

  • Roll the Burrito:

    • Fold the sides of the tortilla over the filling.

    • Starting from the bottom, roll the burrito upwards, ensuring a tight and secure wrap.

  • Serve and Enjoy:

    • Place the burrito seam-side down on a plate.

    • You can serve it as is or, for an extra touch, briefly heat the assembled burrito in the skillet until the tortilla is slightly crispy.

  • Optional Garnish:

    • If desired, garnish the breakfast burrito with additional salsa, sour cream, or chopped fresh herbs for added flavor.

  • Serve Warm:

    • Breakfast burritos are best enjoyed immediately while warm and all the ingredients are fresh.

  • 6 strips of Bacon, cooked and chopped

  • Sour cream

  • Salsa (mild, medium, or hot, according to your preference)

  • Shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or a blend)
